Jack Humphrey cheated me of $1000 affiliate commission.
When Jack Humphrey announced the DNA affiliate programme I was one of the first few to work on it immediately. The commission was $1000 for the sale of one local domain that cost $2500 to $5000.
July 15th was my birthday and on July 16th I was pleasantly surprised to see $1000 marked as payable to me in DNA affiliate stats. I thought this year is going to be great and I have made a good start.
I received an email from Ms. Constance Humphrey congratulating me on earning $1000 as affiliate commission.
Here is the email I received:
Rangoo you’ve just referred a sale!

According to the DNA affiliate programme if I make a sale in July I will get paid on September 1st.
I took screenshots of the record and checked it frequently.

On September 1st I did not get the commission credited to my PayPal account.
I wrote a letter to Constance, replying to the email she first sent to me with the subject line: Rangoo You’ve referred a sale!
Constance Humphrey replied immediately.
HI RAngoo!
Yes, I am in the process of paying July sales
this week
I don’t have a current file on you, let’s get this
done now so that when I get to the “R’s” ,
you’ll be all set and I can send it over to you.
I don’t remember if you are in living in the
United States or not, so I’m sending both.
Just return the one that is for you!
Thanks!
Please sign and return the attached file…
Peace, Love, and Prosperity,
Constance
I was very happy to say the least. I immediately signed the forms and sent them to her.
I did not hear from her again. I wrote to her after waiting for a few days.
She replied:
THanks for resending, Rangoo!
I must have missed it…I just sent
Have a GREAT week!
Peace, Love, and Prosperity,
Constance
And I had received $32 in my PayPal account. That was the ‘blog success’ commission.
I wrote to her again and said:
Thanks Constance!
I am forwarding the email you had sent to me earlier. I thought you were clearing the DNA affiliate commission.
Rangoo
Constance replied:
Hey Rangoo,
Thanks for calling that to my attention, I thought you speaking
of BlogSuccess commissions .. lol
That DNA sale should have been voided, as it was a special
price we gave Chris to work with us. You must have been
cookied on his computer, hence you showed up as the
affiliate. I’m so sorry for the confusion, and for the inconvenice
We worked out a deal with Chris and gave him a deep discount
off that domain, it shouldn’t have been applicable for commissions,
but I guess that’s the downside to automation.
Keep promoting, though!!!!
Peace, Love, and Prosperity,
Constance
And she changed the affiliate stats:

I wrote back expressing my dissappointment. I thought both Jack Humphrey and Constance Humphrey were honest internet marketers. I would not have promoted them otherwise.
Constance Wrote again:
Hi Rangoo,
You of all people should know for sure that
we are great people!! This was a glitch in
the software, one of the unfortunate things
of automation. I should have caught it earlier,
and for that I’m sorry. I should have emailed
you the DAY Chris bought that domain at
a disounted rate. However, since he negotiated
the price with Jack and MOnica, and I”m the
one who sent him the link, I didn’t figure that
an affiliate would be attached to it
Again, I’m so sorry.
Peace, Love, and Prosperity,
Constance
Well, have you got your commissions? I hope I am not one among the many they have cheated.
Well, I also know there are many more who cheat their affiliates.
Let me end this sad note with a positive thought. I have great respect for the Traffic Geyser team. They are the best in paying affiliate commissions.

Update Jan 24, 2010 – Traffic Geyser
Traffic Geyser has changed its affiliate management system. I am not happy with the system as I am not getting credit for my impressions, clicks and sales.
