$1000 Affiliate Commissions Review
Jack Humphrey cheated me of $1000 affiliate commission.
When Jack Humphrey announced the DNA affiliate programme I was one of the first few to work on it immediately. The commission was $1000 for the sale of one local domain that cost $2500 to $5000.
July 15th was my birthday and on July 16th I was pleasantly surprised to see $1000 marked as payable to me in DNA affiliate stats. I thought this year is going to be great and I have made a good start.
I received an email from Ms. Constance Humphrey congratulating me on earning $1000 as affiliate commission.
Here is the email I received:
Rangoo you’ve just referred a sale!

According to the DNA affiliate programme if I make a sale in July I will get paid on September 1st.
I took screenshots of the record and checked it frequently.

On September 1st I did not get the commission credited to my PayPal account.
I wrote a letter to Constance, replying to the email she first sent to me with the subject line: Rangoo You’ve referred a sale!
Constance Humphrey replied immediately.
HI RAngoo!
Yes, I am in the process of paying July sales
this week
I don’t have a current file on you, let’s get this
done now so that when I get to the “R’s” ,
you’ll be all set and I can send it over to you.
I don’t remember if you are in living in the
United States or not, so I’m sending both.
Just return the one that is for you!
Thanks!
Please sign and return the attached file…
Peace, Love, and Prosperity,
Constance
I was very happy to say the least. I immediately signed the forms and sent them to her.
I did not hear from her again. I wrote to her after waiting for a few days.
She replied:
THanks for resending, Rangoo!
I must have missed it…I just sent
Have a GREAT week!
Peace, Love, and Prosperity,
Constance
And I had received $32 in my PayPal account. That was the ‘blog success’ commission.
I wrote to her again and said:
Thanks Constance!
I am forwarding the email you had sent to me earlier. I thought you were clearing the DNA affiliate commission.
Rangoo
Constance replied:
Hey Rangoo,
Thanks for calling that to my attention, I thought you speaking
of BlogSuccess commissions .. lol
That DNA sale should have been voided, as it was a special
price we gave Chris to work with us. You must have been
cookied on his computer, hence you showed up as the
affiliate. I’m so sorry for the confusion, and for the inconvenice
We worked out a deal with Chris and gave him a deep discount
off that domain, it shouldn’t have been applicable for commissions,
but I guess that’s the downside to automation.
Keep promoting, though!!!!
Peace, Love, and Prosperity,
Constance
And she changed the affiliate stats:

I wrote back expressing my dissappointment. I thought both Jack Humphrey and Constance Humphrey were honest internet marketers. I would not have promoted them otherwise.
Constance Wrote again:
Hi Rangoo,
You of all people should know for sure that
we are great people!! This was a glitch in
the software, one of the unfortunate things
of automation. I should have caught it earlier,
and for that I’m sorry. I should have emailed
you the DAY Chris bought that domain at
a disounted rate. However, since he negotiated
the price with Jack and MOnica, and I”m the
one who sent him the link, I didn’t figure that
an affiliate would be attached to it
Again, I’m so sorry.
Peace, Love, and Prosperity,
Constance
Well, have you got your commissions? I hope I am not one among the many they have cheated.
Well, I also know there are many more who cheat their affiliates.
Let me end this sad note with a positive thought. I have great respect for the Traffic Geyser team. They are the best in paying affiliate commissions.
Thanks in advance for posting a comment. Download a free course on making money targeting ‘buyers keywords’ worth $297 for free. You will get a 155 page report and over 90 videos..
Update on October 14, 2009 – Traffic Geyser
Traffic Geyser has promptly sent me the payment a day earlier. I am supposed to receive the payment by October 15th.
Thank You Traffic Geyser team just for being there. You are precious to us as honest internet marketers.
Update Jan 24, 2010 – Traffic Geyser
Traffic Geyser has changed its affiliate management system. I am not happy with the system as I am not getting credit for my impressions, clicks and sales.
Affiliates Beware!

It is not your fault whatever happened at their end.
You MUST be paid as promised for your efforts if the sale was made.
Hope and pray they set right this anomaly and you get paid the $1000 commissions.

Too bad that respected online marketers behave in such a manner. Like somebody has mentioned, irrespective of the what happened, they should honor their words (not verbal but written). Technical malfunctioning is no excuse to avoid payments due to a person.

Hi Rangoo
Sorry to hear about this. If they messed up like that they should bear the brunt of it not you. I love the way she cavalierly laughs it off and then tells you to keep on promoting.
I used to think Jack Humphrey was a real great guy, he sure promotes himself as such. He talks like he is the only honest marketer on the whole internet but that is BULL. His Netsmart media company ripped me off for over 12 grand. You can read about it here

Sorry to hear about your shocking experience with NetSmart Media Lorraine. Your loss is greater than mine. I hope there are not others like us who they have cheated.

HI.
Thanks so much for your concern.
Magnitude of loss is a bit beyond the point I guess. I think part of the issue is that people rarely complain in public as you have done. Who knows what other experiences people may have had? You can not assume good or bad either way without proof.
Once I posted my video testimonial complaining about their services, (Link in comment above) I got a few emails from people saying they had been disappointed in Jack’s services but none used the word cheated. Certainly mistakes can be made but if that is the case then corrections can also be made. I tried to get them to give me a refund and they told me politely to go to hell.
I hope everything else is ok with you.

This is really very bad.

I have been receiving many emails from friends, internet marketers and my subscribers. One of my closest friend an honest internet marketer asked me if I had contacted Jack Humphrey directly to discuss this. I got the email from him and have written a mail to Jack. I agree I did not write to him directly about this. Now I have sent the mail.
Another person wanted to know if these people have paid me before. I have received some commission for ‘blog success’ but I have not been tracking my account regularly. I have no idea if my stats were changed or not.
I would like to thank everyone who has sent me mails, chatted with me, posted comments on facebook, twitter and other places.
I am not unduly worried about not earning this commission. But I do not want to be part of any murky affair. If someone cheats me I want to warn others and thereby clear my conscience that I have not misled others by promoting such people.
Please take care of the energy you put in to earn online and do not lose your hard earned money to cheaters. Carefully evaluate all promotions and do not be part of anything unless you are absolutely convinced. Take care.

You illustrated how critical online credibility and reputation are so important and consequential to businesses. Hopefully this a valuable teaching moment and they will correct the error to your satisfaction and address the incident with clarity and responsibility.

It’s really shocking that someone could take advantage of someone’s sincerity as if it is an everyday affair.
I think you should write directly to Jack Humphrey and state your concerns.
I agree it is not the money at all but the lack of integrity and values that wound and stay as a scar.
I hope your efforts at putting your points across pays off.

Asmi
